Oats that became a legend

The Kayaker’s Kitchen Story

When Sea Kayak Plockton was set up in 2010, I knew our paddlers would need a mid-morning boost. It’s hard work learning new kayaking skills! My signature bake was flapjack - from an old recipe, but with an added twist. I decided this was the perfect food for the Sea Kayak Plockton ‘elevenses’.

Those oats became legendary! Our flapjack was such a hit with our paddlers, we created Kayaker’s Kitchen. Now you can have a taste of Plockton sent straight to your home to share on your own adventures.

Enjoy!

Plockton Flapjack

Flapjack is more than a biscuit … but not quite cake! It’s a baked combination of oats, dried fruit, coconut, butter, golden syrup and demerara sugar.

Feeling hungry yet ?

A box of luxury Plockton Flapjack contains nine generous squares of delicious home-made flapjack, carefully wrapped in greaseproof paper and delivered in a cardboard box with our “Wish you were here!” postcard.

Serving Suggestion

Our serving suggestion is that the Plockton Flapjack is best eaten while sitting in a kayak on the open sea. But it’s also a great energy-boosting snack for any activity!
